Calendar Blog Hop

Good morning fellow crafters! I hope everyone had a great (and restful) Thanksgiving break! I must say mine went by way too fast, and I had way too much to do for someone on vacation :)With that said, welcome to the Calendar Blog Hop hosted by Zeni @ Scrappy Zeni. If you just hopped over from Amanda's @ Amanda's Crafts and More, you're in the right place. If you're just stopping by for a visit, then go to Zeni's to start at the beginning.

For today's project, I decided to make an advent calendar. I've never made one before, and I don't think I realized how much time it would take for all the little details (because I'm a bit of a perfectionist) - so needless to say, you only see the first 12 days of the countdown here. Anyways, I love the idea of using a mini-cupcake pan for the calendar, because it's the perfect place to put a little surprise. The back of the numbers are magnetic sheets that I cut using the cricut (really easy).

Here are some close-ups...

My Pink Stamper November Post

This month we were given the challenge to design a card using a non-traditional fold. I had never doen a stair-step card, so I decided to give it a whirl. Since I didn't have any particular designs in mind, I chose a sentiment I liked from My Pink Stamper's More Fabulous Phrases and went from there. Then I started daydreaming about being on a cruise in the bahamas, and that's where this card came from :)

All About the Turkey

I was so honored to be invited to be a guest designer at the Exploring Cricut Challenge Blog today. The challenge this week is to use a turkey in your project, and with Thanksgiving right around the corner, I decided to get to work on a few projects to keep my 23-month-old busy during our feast. I have a few more projects I'd like to get done before Thursday, but it depends on how shopping goes this week :)

I made this little crayon box to hold his colors so he can finish

some more pages in his coloring book.

While I was already working on table decor, I also

decided to make him a little place setting...

November Pinkalicious Blog Hop

Welcome to the November Pinkalicious Blog Hop! If you've just hopped over from Tracy's @ Craft Junkie Too, then you're in the right place! If you're just stopping by for a visit and would like to hop along, go to My Pink Stamper to start at the beginning. Now onto my post....

Do you ever shy away from things that are new to you? I do, when it comes to crafting. I guess in my head I'm worried I'll have no idea what I'm doing, but then again, do we ever?! :) That's how I felt when I found out the assignment for today's hop was a scrapbook page or a mini book. I have no problems with scrapbook pages, but I've been wanting to make a mini book forever now...so I finally did it! I wanted a place to keep a few recipes that I use often for cupcakes, icing, cookies, and other sweet treats.

I started by finding the cereal boxes I've been collecting just for this type of project, and cut them down to 4x6" rectangles (no fancy shapes with the cricut for my first try lol)

Then using my wonderful imagine (that collects more dust than I would like to admit), I cut out a few "kitchen" items - and very cute patterned paper - to make my cover. I added some ribbon (straight to the little wholes I made with the zutter, because I could SWEAR I had a notebook wire/coil at home and I didn't) and a little tag that says HAPPY EVERYTHING! - from My Pink Stamper's newest release Itty bitty-licious, because any occassion is a good occasion to bake something up!

Here's a quick close up!

I added one cut to the back, and curved a sentiment to "move" with the cookie bowl cut...and this is such a cute one for a Sweets Recipe Book (from My Pink Stamper's More Fabulous Phrases)....

There you have it, my first mini book! I'm looking forward to adding my recipes, and maybe some tabs in the near future! Thanks for stopping by! Your next stop is KARLEE!

Shower Card

Remember those baby shower invites I made a few weeks ago? I thought those cute little diapers would make a great card for the occasion, since all the mommy-to-be wanted was diapers and wipes :)

Thanksgiving with CJ2

The Design Team's assignment for today's post at Craft Junkie Too is Thanksgiving. I'm so excited that Thanksgiving is fast approaching...mostly because that means I have a whole week off of work, to shop, bake, and put up my Christmas tree :). I wanted to make something along the lines of decorations or small gifts, so I made some yummy pumpkin pie.

The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Yummy-licious stamp set.

Fruits, Harvest and Cornucopias

Today's challenge at Cooking with Cricut is all about the things we associate with Fall. I knew I wanted to make something with fruits for the mere fact that I've had the Preserves cartridge forever and have never used it - shame on me! :)

The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's More Fabulous Phrases.

Craft Halloween Blog Hop

Hello fellow crafters! Welcome to the Craft Halloween Blog Hop hosted by Craft Junkie Too! If you just hoped over from Kristi @ Craftin' on my Door, you're in the right place! If you're just stopping by for a visit and would like to hop along, be sure to go to Tracy's blog to start at the beginning.

Today, we were asked to share any Fall or Halloween project with you guys. I will be honest and admit that I didn't make something special and adorable just for the hop, but rather took a picture of the very quick gift I put together for my Boo Buddie at work this week. Every day we gave them a small surprise worth $1-2, but I couldn't bare to not wrap it, or make it somewhat cute (because that's what us crafters do!!!!!). One of her "wishlist" items was tea, so I bought her a package of yummy tea, and wrapped it in decorative Halloween paper, and made a bow - first time making a bow, and definitely not as bad as I thought lol. Quick and simple!

Now, while I'm sharing....I know this is not a Halloween "themed" project, but since it was for my Boo Buddie, I figured I would share as well :). One of the things she 'wished' for was a pencil holder, so I used contact paper to personalize a little pail for her...

A Cricut Baby Shower

I helped throw my best friend a baby shower this past weekend, and I wanted to share some of the things I put together for her....

It's a boy! I forgot to take the picture after adding
the bows on the ends....she liked the banner so much,
it's going over the baby's bed :)

Her party favors...the baggies are favor bags found at
Michael's. The "Happy Baby" sentiment is from My Pink
Stamper's new stamp set called Itty Bitty-licious, which is just the right size when you're looking
for those small stamps....

And though it's not a paper craft, I thought I'd share the
cake balls I made with you guys....
I made enough so guests could throw a few in their favor bags...

Are you ready for Christmas??

I'm not ready either :)...but it is my favorite holiday of the year, and I'm starting to get very excited!!! This year, as a My Pink Stamper designer, I got to participate in a Christmas Card Swap with all the other wonderful ladies on the team! Oh, what fun!!! I mass produced 21 cards - some to exchange, some for donations, using Robyn's (My Pink Stamper) Biggie Christmas stamp set. I LOOOVEE this stamp set because it's the perfect size for your cards inside and out! My goal with the swap was to only use supplies I already had at home...and amazingly enough, I succeeded! :) The best part was getting a big package in the mail with 17 different cards from all the designers! Definitely doing this again!!!!!!

Here's the inside..

Thanks for stopping by! I always LOVE reading your comments! :)

Something for the classroom....

Hello fellow crafters! I don't know how many of you out there are teachers, but I am always looking for opportunities to use my Cricut in the classroom. One of the first things I found on Pinterest a few weeks ago was a cute behavior chart that allowed kids the opportunity to move up when they're having a great day (and not just move down when they're having a bad one) and I loved it!! I took what I found, and made the wording "Pre-k friendly" and added a few visuals using my Cricut. I really love the way it turned out and thought I would share!

Pinkalicous Blog Hop

Hello My Pink Friends and welcome to the October Pinkalicious blog hop! If you are hopping over from Robyn's @ My Pink Stamper, then your are in the right place! If you are just stopping by for a visit and would like to hop along, go to My Pink Stamper to start at the beginning so you don't miss any of the fabulous inspiration we have in store for you today!

For today's hop, we created goodie bags! With Halloween right around the corner, and Boo Buddies coming up soon at work, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get out the sewing machine. I am totally new to sewing, as this is only my 2nd time even getting out my new toy, but it so exciting seeing the finished product! This could get addicting LOL....speaking of addictions, I found a great tutorial for these cute, little candy corn style treat bags on Pinterest (if you haven't discovered Pinterest, run, don't walk and get to pinning :)). If you'd like to give it a try, you can find the tutorial HERE (I think I spent under .60 cents for enough felt to make 4 or 5). For the gift tags, I used Cricut cartridge Tags, Bags, Boxes & More, and My Pink Stamper's Yummy-licous and Spook-alicous stamp sets.

Halloween Treats

For today's post at Craft Junkie Too, the designers were asked to make a treat box that would be relatively easy to mass produce for a classroom setting. I must admit that the easiest project would be the sour cream containers, like the ones I made for my kiddoes last year(you can see them HERE), but I wanted something new. These little containers were quick and easy to assemble, and would be a cute, inexpensive gift for anyone at school, the office, etc.

What you need:
5" x 3.5" cs rolled into a cylinder
5" x 6.5" crepe paper
5" x 3.5" decorative cs for the outside
Ribbon or twince to tie off the ends

What's New Blog Hop - Day 2

Good morning and welcome back to the What's New Blog Hop! I hope you all had a chance to check out and enjoy all the awesome creations we had for you yesterday, and I'm so excited you're back to see what we have in store for you today. I'm been given the honor and pleasure to "kick-off" the day, so this is your starting point. If you're just stopping by for a visit, join the hop, and be sure to check out all of the awesome projects from yesterday as well.

Keeping with my Baby Shower theme, today's project is another quick, clean and oh-so-cute project...favors! I made a little cone to house two mini York mint-chocolates for the guests at my bestie's baby shower. Here's how it turned out....

What's New Blog Hop

Welcome to your last stop on the "What's New?" blog hop. If you hopped over from The Craft Tupperstamper, then you're in the right place. If you're just stopping by for a visit, and would like to hop along, go to My Craft and Chat Cafe to start at the beginning and see what these wonderful new crafters have in store for you!

My project today is an invitation for my best friend's upcoming baby shower. I've been working on these little by little - in between lesson planning, teaching, meetings, remodeling, and chasing my little man around the house - so needless to say, it had to be something simple and quick (especially because I had to make 35 of them) that could be made using supplies I already had at home. I accomplished 2 out of 3, so I'm very proud of myself! The 'quick' didn't go as well as I had planned because these little diapers are all hand cut. Soooo worth it though, because it looked clean, and simple, but still cute. Just the way I wanted!

Recipe:
Diaper Template (designed by Aly Dosdall)
My Pink Stamper stamps (polka-dots & Sweet Baby sentiment)

Hope you enjoyed seeing all the creations by these awesome crafters new to the world of blogging. Be sure to show them some love by following and leaving comments, and don't forget to come back tomorrow for day two of the What's New? blog hop.....starting right here at TxScrapperMom!

Anything but a card.....

Was our assignment for our DT post today at Craft Junkie Too. Most of you know how much I LOVE 3D projects!!! I always say "less is more", but when you're making it for a kid, you can throw that out the window and just decorate away!!!! :) I kept going back and forth on whether I wanted a Halloween or Fall project, then I figured I have the whole month of October for Halloween (which is one of my favorite holidays). Here's my little Fall treat box...

P.S. Sorry I've been MIA for a while. My little man had pneumonia and crafting took a back seat for a few! He's all better now :)

Spooky

Hello fellow crafters! Welcome to another My Pink Stamper Design Team day!! Today's assignment for was to create a Halloween project using the new Spook-alicious stamp set. After playing around with a few different ideas, a Halloween fabric I had seen at Hobby Lobby came to mind, and so did the idea for this card. I wanted it to look like eyes peaking out in the dark...something different (even though it sometimes doesn't look exactly how it did in your mind lol). Hope you like it!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Autumn Favorites

Today is Design Team day at Craft Junkie Too, and the theme is Autumn Favorites! I couldn't pick just one thing I like about Fall, so I went with something that symbolizes it all for me... a pumpkin! When I think of pumpkins, I think of pumpkin patches, jack-o-lanterns, pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving, and the beautiful colors of Fall. Here's a quick card using My Pink Stamper Spook-alicious stamp set....

International Chocolate Day

My son's daycare has fun days that the kids participate in - pajama day, teddy bear day, crazy hair day, etc. - that are so much fun! Today is International Chocolate Day! Who knew there was a day dedicated to yummy, sweet chocolate?! Since it wasn't something he could "do", I decided to make his teachers a little treat. I LOVE this paper full of ducks and frogs, because it's just perfect for a toddler teacher! The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper new 'Yummy-licious' set.

Spotlight Saturday with Scrappy Zeni

Zeni @ Scrappy Zeni invited me to be featured on her blog for her Spotlight Saturday, and I was sooo excited to say YES!!!! I wanted to do something different than my normal, everyday projects, so I tried something new!

It all started on Black Friday last year, when Walmart had a sewing machine for $50. Yup, $50! Did I know how to sew?! No clue! But it was just too cheap to pass up...and I was already there with a cart full of cartridges anyways lol. So, almost nine months later, I finally pulled it out of the box and called my mother for a sewing 101. She very patient taught me the ins and outs, and asked why I couldn't start with a simpler project....but I wanted to do it my way (*insert big grin here*). Here's how my mini treat/gift card/(whatever you'd want to use it for) bag turned out....

I say I didn't do too bad for my first time, but I definitely have a lot to learn....especially because I had to re-do the top at least once because I sewed it completely crooked. I see many mini bags in my future, especially with Halloween right around the corner, so stayed tuned!!!

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop: School Days

Welcome to my blog! If you just hopped over from Julie's @ Ready, Set, Stamp, then you're in the right place. If you're just stopping by for a visit, and would like to hop along, go to My Pink Stamper to start at the beginning.

Today's blog hop assignment was to create a school related, 3-D project. I LOVE 3-D projects, and knew right away what I wanted to do! I bought these boxes at Michael's for about $2.00 each (super cheap) a few weeks ago to make a "Teacher Survival Kit". I considered putting cute paper clips, pins, etc. in it, but then I thought that most teachers - like myself - have plenty of that....and that you can never go wrong with chocolate :). The inside looked a little plain, though plenty colorful, so I decided to add some school sentiments inside - all from My Pink Stamper's School Days set.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my project!

School Days

With all the kiddoes going back to school, today's challenge at Cooking with Cricut is School Days. After finding a two tumbler pack at TJMaxx for super cheap this past weekend, I was so excited to try out vinyl for the first time. For the little gift tag, I used My Pink Stamper's School Days stamp set.

Any ideas for an everyday, non-school related tumbler?! :)

Family Fun

The theme at Cooking with Cricut today is family fun! What does your family like to do for fun?? My first instict was to go DISNEY on my project, but then I thought that wasn't an everyday thing. I wanted something real....food! We seem to get together to eat more than anything, and BBQ's just hit the spot! Here's a little invitation I made out of a tag...

My Favorite Things....

For today's post, Tracy @ Craft Junkie Too asked us to share a few of our favorite things. I had too many, and it was way too hard to narrow it down! So, I decided to go with the things I NEED! Yes, need! The things I use every time I craft, no matter what I'm making...

1. My Gypsy
2. Trimmer
3. ATG Gun
4. Gel pens (because I love, love, love stictching)
5. Ink (edges, stamps, etc.)

Back to School with My Pink Stamper

The My Pink Stamper "School Days" stamp set was perfect for little treats for the 1st day of school. I so badly wanted to add stitching, glitter, etc, but I work with pre-k, and I could imagine was them tearing my beautiful work apart in less than 2 seconds lol. So I kept it simple!

Picnic Basket

I think I'm officially addicted to 3-D projects, especially goodie bags. As soon as Melin @ Cooking with Cricut told us this week's theme was "picnic", I remembered this adorable project I had seen that just stuck with me. How cute is this for a summer treat?! You can fit quite a few Hershey Kisses in there :). It actually was not as hard to put together as I thought, and oh, the possibilities - colors, patterns, embossing, etc. - though I chose to keep it simple my first time around. The only cricut here was the patterned "picnic-looking" paper inside the basket...

Now to give credit where credit is due - because this brilliant idea was not mine. I found directions for this cute little basket at Creations by Patti. While you're there, be sure to check out her Watermelon Basket as well!!! So darn cute!!

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop

Welcome! For those of you who haven't met me, my name is Roberta - on of Robyn's newest design team members! I am so very honored and excited to be participating in my very first My Pink Stamper Blog Hop! The funnest part is that we got to just explore the new stamps, and come up with just about anything our little hearts desired! My favorite crafts are anything 3D and altering items, so today I made a few quick projects that are cute and simple to put together, and make great little gifts!

My first project is a pillow box for peppermints (great for all my wonderful co-workers around the holiday season! Shhhh.....). I had just mentioned to a fellow crafter that I never use my paper crimper for anything but sour cream containers, so I made it a point to use it in this project...

My next project is my newest addiction - Sweet Tooth Boxes! I LOVE this new cartridge and can't get enough! I made the cake slice for the very first time, and it turned out better than I expected...and the sentiment from My Pink Stamper's "Yummy-licious" stamp set is just perfect for the cupcake inside :)

Sweet Goodness

Hi there! This was my last sample from My Pink Stamper's new releases before the Blog Hop tomorrow evening! This one is a quick sour cream container style box using 'Yummy-licious"

Winter Treats

I wanted to take a moment to share some of my winter projects using My Pink Stamper's 'Winter Treats and Sayings' new set. Though I am nowhere near ready for the holidays, Christmas is definitely my favorite time of the year so starting to come up with ideas for little gifts is always fun!

My first project is a tag for a "snowman soup" goodie bag. Who doesn't love getting those?!

My 2nd project is a window, tree box
(I may actually like it better with M & M's)

And my fave is the cocoa sleeve.
These are so fun and easy to make!

Here's the inside...

Want to make one?! They're super simple! Start with a 9 3/4" x 8" sheet of CS. On the 8" side, score at 5" and fold CS to create a 3" flap on the inside. Turn your CS long ways, and score at 4 1/2" and 5 1/4" to create the creases in the middle to allow enought space for the cocoa packets. Adhere the insidee in the middle and the edge and insert your packet. I added a ribbon all the way around on the outside to help hold it closed.

Hope that all made sense :)
