Moo-chas Gracias!

The challenge at Cooking with Cricut today is cows! I've been dying to use the stamp set I won from My Pink Stamper for being an honorable mention in her last DT call. So I made a tag to be attached to a gift bag...doesn't this lil' cow just look ready for a great, big, thank you hug?! :)

A Special Whimsical Wednesday

This is a very special week at Whimsical Wednesday. This week, both card teams have come together for our challenge, to make get well cards for a very special little boy. Angelo, who is the grandson of Margie from Bella Bug Creations, is going through a very difficult time right now. He underwent brain surgery last week and will begin chemotherapy next week. You can read more about Angelo at this post over at Margie's blog. We hope that you will all join us and make a card for Angelo too.....

Red, White & Blue

Today is Design Team day at Craft Junkie Too, and we were asked to make a patriotic project for the upcoming holiday. I wanted to get back to basics with this project, so I opted out of using my Cricut (yes! you heard me right, I CHOSE not to use it lol). Let me tell you, it was harder than I thought. I'm so used to having something 'extra' or 'cute', that I wasn't liking my own project. I even told Tracy (Craft Junkie Too) that I might submit something else....but I stuck with it, because I figured that no one "hits the mark" 100% of the time. We really are our own worst critics! Anyways, here's my project...

Happy Birthday Matey!!

Today is my day at She's a Sassy Lady, and with my nephew's birthday just around the corner, I thought this would be a great project to share! He's having a pirate themed party and needless to say, I finally found my excuse to splurge on the Imagine Buccaneer cartridge - and what a fun cartridge!! I wanted to print EVERYTHING off lol :). Don't worry, I controlled myself and stuck to making a card, and trying out the chest cut on the cart for little treats. I was really excited to share this today because its also my first all-Imagine project (not that there will be lots of those). Here's how it turned out....

If you would like a tutorial on how to assemble the treasure chest, head on over to She's a Sassy Lady to check out my post!

Baby Shower Gift Set

Today is my day at The Bug Bytes, but as always, I like sharing my projects here as well! For the full post, along with directions (including pictures), check out my post HERE.

I have a dear friend's baby shower to attend today, and I really wanted this project to come out just right! I was inspired by a similar project I saw on the Cricut MB a while back, and decided this was just what I was looking for. I made a shape card, and a mini bag to hold her gift card (I became a gift card giver at baby showers after I had my own...because you realize how much you still need AFTER the party is over lol!

Here's how it turned out....

"Happy Father's Day" with Whimsical Wednesday

Can you believe it's almost father's day? Today's challenge at Whimsical Wednesday is in honor of dad's everywhere - a Father's Day card! I made a gift card holder that doubles as a card....I'm not going to lie though, I needed a gift card to use in my creation and I took one out of my wallet that I forgot was even still in there. Guess where I'm having lunch tomorrow?! :)

And a different view so you can see the gift card...

If you'd like to give it a try, you can find directions on how to put it together HERE. I don't have the nestabilities, so I just use an exacto knife. It's really easy!

This week our sponsor is Joy from Joy's Life. One random winner will receive Joy's stamp set called You're So Punny. Please click here to visit Joys Product page. Thank you Joy!

"Summer Fun" with Craft Junkie Too

For today's post, Tracy (aka. Craft Junkie Too) asked us to make any project with a summer theme. I'd love nothing more than to be sitting on a beach with a sweet, cold drink in my hand... but instead, I'll have to settle for the pool and downing a nice cold glass of water to keep hydrated in this Texas heat. Wishful thinking lead me to this fun, shape card....

Summer Cookies

On our last day at work we had a luau-themed party to celebrate summer birthdays, including my own. I decided to make cookies and I wanted to share them with you because I thought they turned out really cute. There is definitely a learning curve when it comes to cookies because there is no re-do's like there is with paper crafting, but I've really enjoyed taking every opportunity to practice. Well, 35 cookies later, here's a picture of a few....

Summer Survival Kit

My wonderful assistant and I made our yearly end-of-the-year gifts for our Pre-k students (Kindergarteners now) and I thought I would share it with you. We compiled a few fun donations from parents, and put together a little beach pail with chips, caprisun, a puppet, a beach ball, a baggie of candy, bubbles, playdoh, school supplies (glue, pencils, crayons, etc), a picture frame (made out of popsicle sticks and foam paper/stickers) with a poem, and most importantly, a copy of the video with pictures from throughout the year. In addition, we altered a notebook for each students, and included ideas of what they can use their notebooks for over the summer in order to get ready for Kindergarten. We call it our "Summer Survival Kit".

Our pails....

It took a lot of pre-planning and organization, but the kids and parents loved it!

National Gingersnap Day

Yup! You read right! Today is National Gingersnap Day, and this is where we are drawing inspiration for this week's challenge at Cooking with Cricut. We were asked to make a project using the following pictures.....

In addition, we had to use two of the following colors in our creations: tangerine, yellow, cream/vanilla, ginger/brown and green.

Now, I must say I think Melin (Cooking with Cricut) read my mind when she put those colors and pictures togeter, because I was planning on making a Hawaiian themed birthday card for an upcoming celebration we are having at school. With that said, the flip-flops automatically came to mind because with the end of the school year being only 3 days away, I have the beach on my mind.....even though its hours and hours away :(. Now that I'm finished sulking, on to my project :)

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to swing by Cooking with Cricut to check out all the other wonderful projects our designers have for you today!
