Red, White & Blue

Today is Design Team day at Craft Junkie Too, and we were asked to make a patriotic project for the upcoming holiday. I wanted to get back to basics with this project, so I opted out of using my Cricut (yes! you heard me right, I CHOSE not to use it lol). Let me tell you, it was harder than I thought. I'm so used to having something 'extra' or 'cute', that I wasn't liking my own project. I even told Tracy (Craft Junkie Too) that I might submit something else....but I stuck with it, because I figured that no one "hits the mark" 100% of the time. We really are our own worst critics! Anyways, here's my project...

  2. Especially like the use of the red/white/blue panels with Stars embossing folder. Did you use white paper & color or did you cut each panel individually from colored paper & line up in embossing folder?

  4. I think your card is FANTASTIC. I was looking down the DT projects at CJT and fell in love with yours. The simplicity is wonderful, it's rich with texture and I love the way you added gel pen stitches to match the stitched ribbon. Great job!
