I want s'mores!!!

Yuummm! S'mores! Who doesn't love 'em?! Makes me want to go camping...and then I remember how high the heat index is here in Texas and I realize home-made ones are just as good! :) Can I just admit now that I don't normally buy anything that falls under the s'mores catagory for the mere fact that it doesn't last even a week in this house?! With that said, I had to improvise using my favorite sweet crackers, Goya Maria cookies (if you have never tried these, it is a must!! You can usually find them in the international area of grocery stores - and I bet your kids will love them, too!). My project for this week's challenge at Cooking with Cricut is a goody bag (or should I say box) for anyone who appreciates a good s'more!

Back 2 School with CJ2

Today is Design Team day at Craft Junkie Too, and we had to make anything "Back 2 School". It's definitely that time of year, when parents are rushing to Walmart last minute to make sure kids are ready for school (because mommy and daddy are definitely ready), and teachers are wondering 'where did summer go?!' I think this might be the first summer I'm almost (notice I said almost) excited that summer is over because it's been over 100 degrees for the better part of my vacation. Back to my project - I took the opportunity to play with my new My Pink Stamper stamp set again (this one is from School Days)! I have to admit that since my little one is not of school age, I make all the things I would love to get for myself lol - sad, I know - but I can put this post-it note to good use!

Back to School Fun

Hi guys! Or should I say ladies?! Robyn @ My Pink Stamper just announced her new stamp sets, and I was sooo excited to get the opportunity to design for her for the very first time. All the sets are absolutely awesome, but I just had to start with School Days. Come on, I'm a teacher! :) Here are a few of the projects I created...

Pencil Holders

And a quick close up...
(You can find directions on how to assemble these easy

and fun pencil holders HERE)

A cute card...

and a fun shape card...

Be sure to swing by My Pink Stamper and check out what the other designers created with School Days. I have another fun project using this set, but you'll have to check back on Wednesday for my Craft Junkie Too Design Team post :).

You Float My Boat

Today is all about sailboats at Cooking with Cricut. I wanted to try something new, so I made a window card for this challenge. It's a bit hard to tell from the picture, but the boat is adhered on the inside of the card, and the waves on the outside. With that said, do projects every come out differently on paper than it did in your head?? lol Yeah, this was one of those! I'm not unhappy with it, but I definitely have to play around with these window cards :)

Yummy!

Yup! I apparently can't stop making boxes from Sweet Tooth Boxes, but I really do think this is my favorite cartridge of all times!! I'm a baker, and a crafter, and this brings my two passions together! What could be better?! Today I decided to give the cupcake box a try, and it is absolutely adorable, and so easy to put together! The only thing I would change next time around is adding some glitter to the cherry and embossing the cupcake "wrapper" - for whatever reason, I tend to forget my Cuttlebug ALOT!

Happy Birthday Bugs Bunny!

Yup! Today is Bugs Bunny's birthday! In his honor, today's challenge at Cooking with Cricut is to use a rabbit/bunny in your card, layout or project of choice. Working on this challenge kind of made me REALLY want a Warner Brothers cartridge. How fun would that be?! Anyways, being that I am Disney's biggest fan, I'm surprised it took me this long to use my Disney Classics cartridge (and I am yet to use Best of Pixar), but I just had to use Thumper's image!

Bright and Fun with CJ2

For today's post, Tracy @ Craft Junkie Too asked us to make something "bright and fun". You can see the bright in the shades of green I used, but my intepretation of fun may be a little different than everyone elses, so I thought I'd give you an insight :) - fun to me is finally having a box cut that is a good size (not miniature) AND it's a 'take-out' box (not to mention I'm having way too much fun playing with the Sweet Tooth Boxes cart). Who ever thought a take-out box could be so girly?! Oh, and I'm becoming addicted to making these adorable flowers....but I promise I'll make many different ones when my Flower Shoppe cartridge arrives! lol

Lollipop Jumbo Tag

Today, the theme at Cooking with Cricut is lollipops! How fun! What I loved about this challenge was that it truly is a challenge!! There aren't too many lollipop cuts, so you truly have to get creative on this one! I made a jumbo gift tag. Where would I put it, you ask? Imagine this....a gift basket filled with goodies (magazines, spa socks, dvds, a bottle of wine and especially some sweet treats), wrapped with cellophane and tied with this jumbo tag. Can you picture it? Because I definitely didn't have the goodie basket, but in my mind, it looked awesome! :)

* This super, duper cute tag AND the lollipop are both from the Mickey & Friends cartridge. I loved how the tag wasn't your regular straight lines! Definitely more fun!!

My Pink Stamper Design Team Entry

My Pink Stamper is having a Design Team call and I am sooo excited to enter! On the last call I got an "honorable mention", but here's hoping to make it onto the team this go around (fingers crossed)!! For this project, we were asked to make a project of choice using the colors brown, orange, green and turquoise. I just received my Sweet Tooth Boxes in the mail last week, and have been dying to use it! You know I LOVE making cupcakes, so this is probably my favorite cartridge of all times!!! Here's how it turned out...

Cartridges: Sweet Tooth Boxes & Mother's Day Bouquet
Stamps: My Pink Stamper
Papers: Recollections & DCWV Animal Crackers Matstack

The house was cut at 7 1/2", but after assembly, I think I may cut it at around 9" next time. I used George & Basic Shapes to cut the "shingles" for the roof to give it a little more layers (I of course noticed one side was a tad bit longer than the other AFTER I uploaded my pictures - go figure! :)). The flowers were cut at about 1", .8" and .6" (on my Gypsy) and the curtains were hand cut.

Wish me luck!!!
