Welcome to the Memorial Day Blog Hop! If you're just visiting my blog and would like to join in on the fun, go to Michele's blog to start at the beginning. If you're already hopping along and you've just come from Brenda's blog, then you are in the right place! We have a great line up of crafters today, so be sure to check out all the wonderful projects we have in store for you.
Memorial Day is as much about patriotism as 4th of July, and I had nothing else in mind but red, white and blue. I couldn't focus in on one particular idea, so I wanted to try a few different things that blended well together. First, I made my first rosettes - they are really time consuming, but definitely worth the all the work. I also wanted a particular font I've seen on shirts, etc...so I used my gypsy to re-create it using Varsity Letters and George. Side note: do you ever feel the picture just doesn't do your project justice?! lol Anyways, here's how it turned out....
I just love your project! The rosettes are GREAT (I love making them also) and the letters work so perfectly!!
ReplyDeleteGREAT JOB!!
